How to cook giniling na baboy

INGREDIENTS

1/2 kg of Ground Pork
2-3 pieces of Potato
2-3 pieces of Carrots
Tomato Sauce
Knorr’s Beef cube
Water
Garlic and Onions
Salt
Magic Sarap

Preparation

The first thing you have to prepare is to cut the potato and carrot into a small cubes. This will be very important because it should be as small as the ground pork so that is will not ruin the look of our food and so that it can be easily cooked.

The next thing you have to do is to prepare the spices such as onions and garlics. It is important because it adds the flavor to the meat and it will give the ground pork more texture on its flavor.

Steps

The first thing you have do is cook the onions and garlics until it is smoothened and when the garlics turns into a golden brown texture.

Then add the ground pork and cook it until it is almost in golden brown color. Be careful when chosing your meat. Make sure you choose the meat with lesser fat. Too much oil will be visible when the ground pork meat is too fat.

When the meat are cooked, add knorr’s beef cube and put some tomato sauce. This will add the flavor in the food and it will make the ground pork juicy.

After you had mixed the tomato sauce, add some water and let it simmer until the ground pork will becomes soft.

When the pork meat is soft, you can already add the carrots and potatoes in to the pan. Make sure the water is enough so that you will not have a very dry food. Add some salt and magic sarap to give more flavor to it.

Wait until the potatoes and carrots becomes soft and then you can already serve and eat it. It can accommodate up to 15 people when cooking it. So be sure cook it well as to not disappoint many people.

How to Make Chicken Curry

Ingredients

  • 1 kg whole chicken (cut into 12-16 pieces)
  • 3 large onions (chopped)
  • 3 medium tomatoes (chopped)
  • 4-5 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 inch (2.5 cm) cinnamon
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1 tsP cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp ginger (chopped finely)
  • 1 tbsp garlic (chopped finely)
  • 1 green chili
  • 1 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (to taste)
  • 3-4 tbsp oil

INSTRUCTION

STEP 1
Gather your ingredients.
STEP 2
Heat the oil in a deep pan and add the cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, and cardamom. You can use vegetable oil or olive oil, though ghee will give your curry chicken the most authentic Indian flavor. Here’s what you should do:

  • As soon as these spices begin to crackle, you can add the cumin seeds, wait about five seconds, and then add the diced onion.
  • Turn the heat down to medium and sauté the onions until they’re soft and translucent, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
  • After that, add the ginger and the garlic.
  • Then, turn the heat up to medium-high and continue sautéing the onions until they are light brown.
  • Continue stirring the ingredients to combine the flavors.
STEP 3
Add the turmeric, coriander and sauté them for a minute before adding the chicken and sauté for about 5 minutes. Let the turmeric and coriander blend in with the other spices for a minute and then add the chicken pieces, just a few at a time, until they fill the pan. If you add too many pieces of chicken at once, then it’ll make the oil in the pan spurt up, so be careful. As you add the chicken, keep stirring the ingredients and flipping over the chicken so that it is sealed and evenly cooked and coated in the onions.
STEP 4
Add the tomatoes, tomato puree, salt, red chili powder and green chili and sauté for another 5 minutes. Here’s what you should do next:

  • Add a cup of hot water.
  • Cover and cook till the chicken is almost done.
  • Add the garam masala and about half of the chopped coriander (you’ll need the other half for the garnish).
  • Add little hot water to make gravy of a desired consistency. Cook till done.
STEP 5
Turn the heat to low and let the chicken simmer for another 10-15 minutes. This process will allow the chicken to fully cook and to stew in the vegetables and spices for a bit. Sure, frying it or cooking it over higher heat will get the job done faster, but your chicken won’t get that same authentic flavor.
STEP 6
Remove from heat and garnish. Once your chicken curry is cooked, take a bite and add salt and pepper or any spices to taste as needed. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with plain rice or chapati (Indian bread).
STEP 7
Serve. Enjoy this tasty chicken curry dish while it’s hot.

How to cook Fish Escabeche

Ingredients

Filipino Escabeche

  • 1 pound (453 g) tilapia or lupa lupa fillets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
  • 1-inch (2.5-cm) piece ginger, peeled and cut into strips
  • 1 small red bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 small green bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 carrot, peeled and cut into strips
  • ½ cup (115 g) tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
  • ½ cup (120 ml) vinegar
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons (37 to 50 g) brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (19 g) cornstarch
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water, divided
  • ¼ teaspoon (0.5 g) cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon (0.5 g) ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon (3 g) salt
  • ½ cup (120 ml) vegetable or canola oil
Step 1
Heat the oil and season the tilapia. Pour ½ cup (120 ml) of vegetable or canola oil into a large skillet and turn the heat on to medium-high heat. Clean 1 pound (453 g) of tilapia or lupa lupa and remove the bones and guts. Sprinkle the fish generously with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Fry the fish for 4 to 5 minutes. Slowly lower the fish into the hot oil. It should begin to bubble and crisp up as it cooks. Turn the fish over once or twice as it cooks, so both sides become golden brown. This should take about 4 to 5 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the fish and pour out some of the oil. Turn off the heat and use a fish spatula or turner to lift the fried fish out of the skillet. Set the fish on a platter and set it aside. Pour out all but 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of the oil from the skillet.

  • You might want to pour the hot oil into an old can before you discard it. Avoid pouring hot oil directly into a trash can or down the sink.
Step 4
Cut the garlic, red onion, and ginger. Peel 4 cloves of garlic, 1 medium red onion, and 1-inch (2.5 cm) of fresh ginger. Use a sharp knife to mince the garlic, finely chop the onion, and slice the ginger into strips.
Step 5
Sauté the garlic, red onion, and ginger for 3 to 4 minutes. Turn the heat on the skillet to medium and add the chopped aromatics to the skillet. Stir the mixture and sauté it for 3 to 4 minutes, so the onion softens a little.
Step 6
Juliene the bell peppers and carrot. Peel 1 carrot and use a sharp knife to cut it into long, narrow strips. Trim the stems off of 1 small red bell pepper and 1 small green bell pepper. Cut the peppers in half and rinse out the seeds. Slice each bell pepper into thin, narrow strips.

Step7

Stir in and simmer the vegetables, tomato sauce, and soy sauce. Add the sliced bell peppers and carrots to the skillet along with a ½ cup (115 g) of tomato sauce and 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of soy sauce. Simmer the mixture for 2 minutes.

Step8
Pour in the water, vinegar, and brown sugar. Keep the heat on medium and pour in ½ cup (120 ml) of vinegar, 3 tablespoons (37 g) of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup (120 ml) of water. Do not stir these ingredients into the skillet until the liquids begin to boil.

Step 9

Dissolve the cornstarch in the water and add it to the sauce. Place 2 tablespoons (19 g) of cornstarch into a small prep bowl and pour in ½ cup (120 ml) of water. Stir until the cornstarch is dissolved. Whisk the dissolved cornstarch into the skillet.

Step 10

Simmer and season the sauce in the skillet. Whisk and simmer the sauce for 2 minutes, so the sauce thickens a little. Stir in a ¼ teaspoon (0.5 g) of cumin, ¼ teaspoon (0.5 g) of ground black pepper, and ½ teaspoon (3 g) of salt. Turn the heat off the skillet.

  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings according to your taste. If it seems too acidic, add a little more water or another tablespoon (12.5 g) of brown sugar.

Step 11
Serve the fish escabeche. Place the crispy, fried fish on a serving platter. Spoon the hot sauce over the fish and serve it immediately. Consider serving the escabeche with steamed rice or warmed bread.

  • You can store leftover escabeche in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.

ENJOY! 🙂

How to baked CINNAMON ROLLS

2 1/2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup plus 6 tablespoons butter, melted, divided

1/4 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon McCormick

Pure Vanilla Extract

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon McCormick

Roasted Cinnamon GLAZE

1 cup confectioners’ sugar

2 ounces (1/4 package) cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon milk

If you’ve never made cinnamon rolls before, these step-by-step instructions will help you visualize the cinnamon-roll-making process.  Once you understand how to make cinnamon rolls, the rest is easy 🙂

I make the cinnamon rolls dough in a bread machine by using the bread machine cinnamon buns recipe.  Once the bread machine makes the dough, here’s what to do next:

Step 1 Of Making Cinnamon Rolls: Roll Out The Dough Into A Rectangle

Here’s the picture of how the dough should look like when you roll it out:

Step 2 Of Making Cinnamon Rolls: Brush The Dough With Milk

Pour a couple of tablespoons of milk on the dough, then use the pastry brush to brush the milk over the dough.  The dough should look evenly moistened with the milk.

Here’s the picture of the dough after it’s been brushed with milk:

Step 3 Of Making Cinnamon Rolls: Sprinkle With Cinnamon And Sugar

Sprinkle the dough evenly with the mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

Here’s the picture of the dough rectangle sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar:

Step 4 Of Making Cinnamon Rolls: Roll The Dough Into A Roll

Here’s when your dough rectangle will become a roll 🙂  Starting with the long side, roll the dough into a roll, like shown on the picture below:

rolling the dough for cinnamon rolls

Here’s the picture of the roll when the rolling process is complete:

Step 5 Of Making Cinnamon Rolls: Cut The Long Dough Roll Into 12 Pieces

The easiest way of getting 12 even pieces is to cut the roll in half, then each half into halves, and finally each quarter into 3 parts.  The tricky part is to remember to cut the quarters into 3 parts – NOT into 2 parts.  I forgot 🙂 That’s why the pieces on the picture below are not very even 🙂

Step 6 Of Making Cinnamon Rolls: Put Roll Pieces Into Greased Baking Dish

Put the cinnamon rolls pieces into a greased baking dish as shown on the picture below:

cinnamon rolls in a baking dish before rising

Step 7 Of Making Cinnamon Rolls: Let Them Rise

Cover the baking dish with the plastic wrap.  The plastic wrap will keep the rolls from drying out while they rise.  After you cover the dish with the plastic wrap, leave it on the counter for 1 hour.  During this time, the rolls will rise – the dough will expand and the rolls will get bigger!

Here’s the picture of the baking dish covered with the plastic wrap:

When the cinnamon rolls finished rising, they will be touching!  Here’s the picture of the cinnamon rolls that finished rising – notice how much bigger they got:

Step 8 Of Making Cinnamon Rolls: Bake Them

Preheat oven to 350F.  Remove plastic wrap from the baking dish.  Put the baking dish with the cinnamon rolls in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.

Here’s the picture of freshly baked cinnamon rolls, right out of the oven:

Step 9 Of Making Cinnamon Rolls: Ice Them

Make the icing with milk and powdered sugar, and spread it on top of the cinnamon rolls.

Here’s the picture of iced cinnamon rolls:

You are done!  The cinnamon rolls are ready to eat 🙂  For the exact ingredients and proportions. THANK YOU 🙂
